Cancer research platform sees intensive first-year data collection effort
followed by peer-reviewed research publication
CARY, NC (June 1, 2015) – Following its one-year launch anniversary and the achievement of its goal of including data from 25,000 patient lives, Project Data Sphere, LLC (PDS), an independent not-for-profit initiative of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer’s Life Sciences Consortium (LSC), marked the publication of several peer-reviewed articles using academic and industry cancer clinical trial data from this innovative research library-laboratory.
CARY, NC (May 11, 2015) – Since its launch one year ago, Project Data Sphere, LLC (PDS), an independent not-for-profit initiative of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer’s Life Sciences Consortium (LSC), achieved its key 12-month goal of including data from 25,000 patient lives as part of its broader aim to share, integrate and analyze historical patient level, comparator arm data from academic and industry cancer clinical trials to drive innovation and accelerate research. The broad-access approach of the Project Data Sphere® platform, www.ProjectDataSphere.org, is bringing together diverse minds and technology to help unleash the full potential of existing clinical trial data and speed innovation by generating collective insights that may lead to improved trial design, modeling of disease progression and endpoints and entirely new research gleaned from applying advanced analytic technology to existing data.

The CEO Roundtable on Cancer salutes Coach Mike Krzyzewski on his 1000th victory, further solidifying his legacy as the winningest men's basketball coach in NCAA Division I history. In addition to his recent history-making win, Coach K’s trailblazing resume includes leading the U.S. men's national basketball team to gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2010 and 2014 FIBA World Championships and serving as assistant coach for the Olympic gold medal-winning “Dream Team” in 1992.
