The 2015 winners of the Charlie represent a common theme: Leadership by Example. Under the leadership and guidance of Ian Read, Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Mace L. Rothenberg, Chief Medical Officer & Senior Vice President, Clinical Development & Medical Affairs, Pfizer embraced the LSC’s independent Project Data Sphere initiative and ensured that it would be an innovative resource for researchers and a source of hope for patients.

Dr. Monica Bertagnolli and Dr. Daniel J. Sargent, of The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology demonstrated commitment and bold personal leadership in overcoming significant barriers to find ways to share data to further research and ultimately benefit cancer patients. Dr. Bertagnolli is Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Dr. Sargent is Director of the Division of Biostatistics, Mayo Clinic.
